What’s in my TBR pile? – Guest post Ann B. Harrison

Today I welcome fellow Hunter Romance Writers member, Ann B. Harrison, to my blog.

Ann swears she was born with a book in her hands and has never put it down. A lifelong love of reader has finally culminated in achieving her dream of writing…and publication.

She lives in the beautiful Hunter Valley with her own handsome hero of many years. Ann has always loved the ups and downs of life in small communities and she shares this with readers in her rural romances.

Strong sexy heroines with a good dash of sass thrown in feature in her stories. Of course these women need an equally strong hero. Bring on the outback hero and watch the passion ignite.

When not writing Ann enjoys reading, gardening, walking her very large dog Hugo and fighting with her computer.

You can find Ann on Facebook.

So Ann, what was the last book you read?

The Vincent Boys and the Vincent Brothers by Abbi Glines. I love her work and she writes fast which is awesome for me because I read at super speed and once I find an author I like I go through everything they have.

What are you currently reading?

Styxx – Sherrilyon Kenyon. I’ve been waiting for this one forever! This is as gut wrenching as Acheron was and bound to evoke a few panic attacks and tears.

What book(s) is/are next on your reading pile?

That is scary for sure. I have over three hundred books on my kindle alone and haven’t even read half of them. I guess you could call me a serial book buyer – you can keep the shoes ladies, just send me to the book shop!

I agree with you, Ann. Much prefer books to shoes! Tell us about your latest release or WIP

My last release was Outback Gold. I have a thing about my rural books. Living in the middle of the desert has given me a new appreciation for all things in the Outback. I grew up in the country loving the lifestyle and freedom the wide open spaces give you and I hope this shows in my stories.

Stacey Peters needed to get out of Sydney away from a broken relationship and ends up running her grandfathers pub in the outback. She is passionate about keeping it in the family and out of the hands of the voracious mining company.
Morgan Taylor, owner of the mining company comes to town and is less than honest about his intentions…with the mine and with Stacey.
Can they resolve their differences or will they be torn apart as the gold is mined?

You can buy Outback Gold from Amazon.

I have a new release coming shortly, From the Outback. This book is starts in Alice Springs and ends up in the beautiful Hunter Valley, the place I now call home.

Sami Darling is left a farm by someone she didn’t know existed – her grandfather. Before she signs the transfer papers a local resident is doing his best to buy her out and keep her from the property. Not one to take directions from others lightly, she packs up her meagre belongings along with her brother and heads to their new home.

I’ll definitely be adding both of those to my list, Ann! Thanks for dropping by my blog today.

    Hi Ann & Kerrie,
There seems to be a lot of overseas interest in our Outback at the moment. And being that it is so large and diverse I can understand why.
Good time to release your stories Ann. Good luck.

Styxx is on my soon to read pile as well. Acheron wrenched at my heart-strings (not easy to do) so I am now looking forward to it.

Havent heard of Abbi Glines – will check her out & add to my scary TBR pile. Have you lived in Alice? I lived there for about three years in my pre-children days & loved it.
Interesting post, Ann & Kerrie 🙂

I’m with you Ann – I’d much rather have books than clothes or shoes! And scary TBR piles are what life’s all about! What woudl happen if you ran out of books to read!? 🙂

    Good luck with your stories.
