changes-aheadAfter all the turmoil of the last eighteen months, you’d think I’d be happy with no changes for a very long time! But no, there’s more to come – and I have to say I’m looking forward to this next lot.

This coming week will be my last week at the admin job I’ve been covering as a maternity leave position. I can’t say the work has been the most invigorating I’ve ever done, but the group I’ve worked with have more than made up for that. They’ve definitely made the days more enjoyable and I’ll miss them immensely.

However, the following week I start a new full-time job which will be using my writing, my IT and my organisational skills, and I’m really excited about it! It will be much more of a challenge and far more creative than what I’m doing now.

Juggling full-time work and my other commitments will be a challenge. I’m going to have to be far more organised and scheduled, or nothing will get done!

Which partly leads to the next change. After 4 years as a Scout Leader and 5 years prior to that on the Scout group parent committee, I’ve given notice to finish up at the end of the term. It’s a really bittersweet decision – it’s time for me to move on, but I’ll miss watching the kids grow and mature. But I can’t stay forever and now is the right time for me to go.

I will however keep my membership active which will let me still go to the next Scout Jamboree in 2019 as a journalist again! And I can’t wait!

So what’s going on in your life? Any changes or life as normal?
