Since my last post, Almost-Teen has become Teen, I’ve had a couple of trips to the Big Smoke (otherwise known as Sydney), taken some nice walks, eaten Haggis and generally lived my normal busy life. I’m eagerly looking forward to school holidays next week!
On the writing side, Reach for the Stars has been deepened, polished and sent off to my editor and beta readers. And I sit back and bite my nails hoping they like it. I was pretty happy with it by the end, and I can’t wait until November when I can share it with the rest of the world.
I had a wee bit of excitement today – I happened to be checking my Amazon sales dashboard and noticed that my short story, Moonstone Cottage, was sitting at #1 in the Amazon.com.au short stories section. It’s always very much a ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ case with Amazon rankings – they change so quickly – so I was super excited to catch that fleeting moment!
No rest for the wicked, as they say. While I’m waiting for feedback on Reach for the Stars, I’ll be plotting and starting to write the next book in the Hope Creek series. This one is Belinda’s story – I can’t wait to revisit Hope Creek!
I hope you’re all having a great week!
